Welcome to St. Andrews's part of the web site!

We hope you enjoy learning about us. More importantly, what you read here, we hope will give a desire to come and join us for worship, or for any other events that we hold.

St Andrews is special.

It was built by three church denominations who wanted to speak with one voice to the fast growing Gosforth Valley housing estate that the Christian church cared and wanted to serve the needs of the new community being established.

More than 28 years have now passed, and St Andrews is stronger than ever. We are constantly striving to show prayerfully and practically that we care for those who live in and around the valley.

We are proud to share the same building as the highly acclaimed Anglican/Methodist aided primary school. The links with the school run far deeper than just sharing bricks and mortar. Many of the children who come to St Andrews Church also go to the school. There are also many of our members who are employed at the school or voluntarily work to serve the school.

St Andrews is a church with an age span that represents every age group from newborn right up to people in their eighties. It is truly a community church with a family feel. Our worship is varied and we aim to incorporate traditional landmarks as well as modern music. There is a warm and relaxed feel to the community. The welcome you receive is warm and sincere.

The church has an active life. From Sunday worship to house groups where people study the bible together. From midweek prayer meetings to Tuesday morning coffee and chat. From SCAMPS (worship for parents with newborn to pre-school children) to LIVE AT THE VIC (Teenage group for 14+). From a strong Sunday school to music groups. From overseas charity support to local community support.

St Andrews wants to welcome you. We hope that you will feel like you are a visitor only once. The second time you come, we hope you feel part of the family!
